Engraving and personalization   We get many requests for personalization. Usually this is a few words on the bottom of a jewelry box, such as "To my lovely Julie, with love, Bob, April, 2005." We are happy to do this sort of thing, and we will usually do it with our new shop-built CNC router. This produces remarkable results, with tiny perfectly carved text or graphic in your choice of font. Cost is about $8-$20, depending on the complexity of your request. Please call us when you order to discuss. Below are a few photos of examples. We can also do custom inlays, where we actually carve out a recess and replace it with a contrasting wood. This is more costly than engraving, but can be done for as little as $25. We can also engrave and do inlay on cutting boards.     Here's a custom cherry box with carved text on the inside.   Here's a ring box engraved before assembly on the inside of its top.
